Rafael Otero is a 2012 OF/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Vega Alta, PR who attends Maestro Ladi HS. Long and lean athletic build, room to get stronger. 7.07 runner, plays both outfield and third base well, like his potential at third base, field the ball out front with soft hands, long easy arm action with good arm strength, light on his feet with athletic actions. Outfield actions and tools are smooth and athletic as well. Switch hitter, shows big power potential from the right side, lots of bat speed, good game at bats, tends to be a bit long and rotational from the left side but still with good bat speed, swings hard from both sides and looks to drive the ball.
