Michael Avila is a 2013 1B/ with a 6-2 235 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Immaculata Lasalle. Large, thick, very strong looking build, mature but looks like he could still add some strength. Good idea at first base, knows how to play the position, hands work well and shows decent footwork. Right-handed hitter, shows very good bat speed, hits off his back leg and can really drive the ball, hit some loud shots to straightaway center field. Stays short to the ball and shows legitimate power potential. Good approach and has the upside to be a well rounded hitter. Excellent student.
