2013 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
Connor Olson is a 2014 C/2B, 3B, SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Plymouth, MN who attends West Lutheran. Olson has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively, he has some catch and throw tools with arm strength up to 75 MPH. He has solid footwork and some carry on his throws. Olson is a good receiver behind the plate and he has nice hands. He also worked out on the infield and showed clean transfers with solid actions. At the plate, Olson starts with an open stance and uses a leg kick load to start his swing. He has some rhythm to his swing and is a front foot hitter. Olson swings on a line drive path and made solid contact to all fields. He has a good tool set to keep improving. Very good student, named to Top Prospect Team.
