Grant Debevec is a 2013 RHP/SS with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Woodworth, LA who attends Bolton HS. Lean athletic build, lots of room to get stronger, very projectable. Loose flowing leg raise delivery, full clean arm circle, high 3/4's extended arm action, low effort mechanics. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight, looks to spot fastball and gets it to his glove side well, misses low when he's off. Flashed hard spin on curveball, best curveballs were at 75 mph, mostly 71-72 mph, looks to be a knuckle curve, shows pitch in back, turns over his change up but tends to slow arm. Tries to mix his pitches and is around the zone. Right handed hitter, big weight shift into contact, gets to front side early, shows some bat speed, long swing at present, drives the ball to all fields, good extension out front, big shift does create timing problems. Athletic actions and look in all regards, should continue to improve. Very good student.
