Patterson Ware is a 2017 SS/3B/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Mt Brook HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a strong, mature build with present strength throughout. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well to the ball and stays low through actions, works through the ball well, smooth hands play well out front, ball comes out of hand well with carry and strength across the diamond. Switch-hitter, begins with a slightly open stance from the right side and shows a good weight shift load at start. Uphill swing plane and keeps hands in, shows a feel for the barrel with quickness to hands and strength off the barrel. Open stance from the left side with a high back elbow, looks to pull the ball and is able to execute. Occasionally gets around the ball but shows jump when timed up, lets the ball travel and shows a similar feel for the barrel. Good student.
