Bartlett is a 6-2, 185 lb right handed pitcher from Washington D.C with a strong lower half that he uses well his delivery. He throws from a side arm release point with a quick, whip like arm action. Bartlett’s release point gives him very heavy tailing and sinking action on his fastball and he’s very aggressive about pitching to the corners with the fastball. Bartlett’s velocity was 75-77 mph but the release point and movement made it more effective. Bartlett’s curveball was 64-65 with some sweeping action. He threw 4 very effective innings, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 7 hitters. Bartlett also plays first base and shows lots of potential as a hitter. He has a rotational pull oriented swing with college level bat speed and showed the ability in batting practice to hit the ball with power. Bartlett should be followed closely as a hitter as well as a pitcher with an effective and unusual pitching style.
