Hunter Strong is a 2015 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Sheridan, AR who attends Sheridan HS. Strong has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he attacks the baseball in the outfield and plays through the ball well. Strong has good actions and fundamentals. He has a quick release and made online throws with arm strength up to 86 MPH. At the plate, Strong starts with a very wide stance and uses a busy load to start his swing. He uses a big leg lift and showed good raw bat speed. Strong squared the ball up very well, especially with as many moving parts as there are in his swing. He has some strength in his swing and barreled up balls well. Strong pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. He has a high leg lift where his weight gets to his heel side. He had velocity up to 82 MPH with more in there with a few adjustments. Outstanding student.
