Joseph Perna is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Massapequa, NY who attends Massapequa. Smaller, thin frame. Still very young and has room to grow. Ran a 7.49 60 yard dash. Throws left-handed, works from a high three-quarter arm slot. Falls off to third base side at times, but pitches downhill consistently and locates. Fastball topped out at 74 mph with more velocity to come. Shows a feel for his curveball at 64, flashes some 11-5 depth. Knows how to pitch inside. Also played the field, shows good infield actions, arm strength is still developing. Transfers and gets ride of the ball well. Hits right-handed, hits the ball to the opposite field, hits off his front foot at times. Patient approach. Very good student.
