Steven Acosta is a 2015 RHP/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from West New York, NJ who attends High Tech. Large, athletic frame with a lean build and room to fill out with added strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Balanced delivery, finishes over front side well, steady tempo. Repeats mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 86 mph and worked it to both sides of the plate and lived low with the pitch with slight arm side run. Hitter's weren't picking it up out of his hand. Curveball shows tight 11-5 spin with depth and feel at 76 mph. Mixes well and knows how to pitch. Good student.
