Zach Marbutt is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Phil Campbell, AL who attends Haleyville HS. Lean build with some present, wiry strength. Loose arm, longer path with circle in back, works to a high 3/4's arm slot, shows some effort on release. Good command of fastball in low-80s, topped out at 82 mph, pitch shows good life with tail to armside and occasional cut when located to the gloveside. Also mixes in a curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth and late, tight break. Right handed hitter, wide base setup with slight crouch, active hand load with bat wrap. Spray line drive contact, shows good feel for using middle of the field. Outstanding student.
