Jean Carlos Berasgoico is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Cardinal Hayes. Medium build, lean, very good athlete with above average speed. Ran a 6.78 60 yard. Works from a smooth delivery on the mound, short arm action, and comes from a three-quarter arm slot. Has a slight hip turn at his balance point and gets downhill consistently. He has the tendency to short arm at times, but fastball shows good run at 80 mph. Curveball needs improvement, more of a sweeper right now. Throws a lot of strikes and finds ways to miss the barrel. Also played the field, shows arm strength and average footwork. Upright right-handed batting stance, flashes good hand speed, flat line drive swing path. Good athlete with some two way upside.
