Donald "DJ" Peters is a 2014 OF/1B with a 6-6 215 lb. frame from Glendora, CA who attends Glendora HS. Extra long and tall build, especially for a position player, very projectable physically. Right handed hitter, balanced stance, limited shift, calm approach, stays very short to the ball despite long levers, simple direct swing path, good feel for the barrel, loose and fluid through the zone, good extension out front, creates bat speed and the ball jumps on contact, handles the barrel well and is patient and selective with pitches, really projects offensively. 6.92 runner, easy strides and athleticism, clean arm action with developing arm strength, can improve footwork on throws. Very easy to compare to the Brewers Corey Hart. Could take time to develop like most taller players but hitting approach stands out. Selected to the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
