Connor Langfels is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Paul Laurence Dunbar HS. Tall, lean, projectable right-hander, has nice pitcher's build with room to fill out. Up-tempo delivery, builds momentum late, shows some energy at release, hides ball well throughout. Compact arm-action, drives down the mound with nice line to plate, releases from a tight, high 3/4's arm slot. Up to 81 mph with his fastball, pitch has natural cutting action and some late sink when located down in the zone. Breaking ball has varied tilt, showing some occasional slider shape and action, able to locate it for strikes. Also works in a straight changeup. Very good student.
