Mason Rodriguez is a 2015 3B/MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Southlake, TX who attends Southlake Carroll HS. Rodriguez has a lean frame with room to fill out and add strength. As an infielder he displayed lateral agility with good footwork and showed some arm strength with online carry. Good arm action in the infield and was quick to the ball. Can improve as an infielder with a quicker transfer and release. As a right handed hitter he hit from a square stance with a wide base and an aggressive approach. He showed a line drive swing plane with some pop to his pull side. Can improve at the plate with use of his lower half. Excellent Student.
