2013 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Nick Fortunato is a 2015 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-7 180 lb. frame from Coram, NY who attends Long Wood. Smaller, strong build. Throws from a high three-quarter left-handed arm slot on the mound. Reaches 72 mph with hi fastball and flashes a big 12-6 curveball, but needs more consistency with it. Mixed in a changeup as well. Also played the field, shows some quickness around first base. Bats right-handed, works from a slightly open stance and likes to hit off his back leg. Makes line drive contact and has some lift to the middle of the field. Good student.
