Kole Kampen is a 2016 LHP/ with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Fort Dodge, IA who attends Fort Dodge. Left handed pitcher with a smooth tempo, balanced delivery. Shows a comact arm action at release from a three-quarters arm slot. Repeats mechanics well with fluidity throughout offering. Works over front side well creating solid downhill angle on a fastball that sat in the upper 80's, topped at 90 mph. Curveball has 1/7 shape with tight spin and depth. Curveball has later sharp break when working in the higher velocity band. Also flashed a slider with good spinning action with tilt at 78 mph. Showed an effective change up at 81 mph that has cutting action to glove hand side. Has a composed prescence on the mound while consistently changing pitch speeds. Shows command on the inside half with his fastball, opening up the outer half of the plate for off speed swings and misses. Committed to the University of Iowa. Named to the 2016 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
