Mason Minister is a 2016 RHP/SS, 3B with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from New Braunfels, TX who attends Smithson Valley. Extra-large, lean athletic build with long limbs and room to fill out with added strength. Good athlete, ran a 6.82 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a long arm action in back and an extended release. Stays tall on back side and works downhill, front side opens early. Has arm speed and low effort delivery, repeats well and throws strikes with both pitches. Worked fastball in the 80-82 mph range consistently and showed a nice feel for his slider at 75 mph. Long arm action in the infield but quick transfer and release with nice arm strength across the diamond along with athletic actions. Right-handed hitter, upper half swing, creates line drive contact with a smooth swing and shows leverage with bat speed. Named to South Underclass Top Prospect List.
