Spencer Cayten is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Purvis, MS who attends Private School. Big strong physical build. Right handed hitter, very nice hitting tools, moves into contact well, long powerful swing with present bat speed, good hand quickness, hits the ball out front and can pull and lift it, will occasionally get front foot down late in load. 7.56 runner, future position to be determined defensively, third base or first base most likely depending on arm strength development. Also pitched, long extended arm action, 3/4's arm slot, cross body release, gets downhill well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with good running life, slurve type slider is effective, works down in the zone and throws strikes. Bat will carry him. Very good student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect Team.
