David Anaya is a 2016 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Brownsville, TX who attends Brownsville Veterans Memorial HS. Strong young build especially in the hips and lower half. Right handed hitter, leg raise trigger, moves into contact, loose extended swing with some hand quickness and strength, tends to get long at times but flashes whip in his barrel coming through, can improve game aggressiveness. 7.33 runner, long loose arm action, good exchange and release, accurate throws with carry, showed his athleticism with a nice diving stop to his left, solid third base tools defensively. Also pitched, low 3/4's arm slot, gets nice tailing action on a fastball to 80 mph, big breaking curveball sweeps across the plate, threw strikes and had a quick inning. Good student.
