Logan Berlof is a 2016 2B/SS, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends McKinney Boyd. Medium, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, fields the ball out front and stays low through actions, short steps to the ball, showed athleticism charging in, longer release, can drop slot and still make accurate throw across diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with a balanced stance in the box and uses a leg lift trigger for timing at beginning of swing. Wrapped barrel into line drive swing, small weight shift through lower half, generates bat speed through the zone with some separation at contact. Nice strength coming off the barrel with louder contact to pull side. Remains balanced throughout, shows nice plate coverage and ability to hit to all fields. Very good student.
