Luis Colon is a 2015 2B/SS with a 5-8 157 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build with solid present strength, projects for more as well. Ran a 6.96 60 yard dash and showed off his speed on base paths as well. Hits from open stance with good hands in swing, toe tap trigger, has some smoothness in swing. Line drive swing plane with middle field approach to hitting. Spray hitter who uses entire field when at best. Showed well in the infield, quick feet with good range to both sides. Profiles very well at 2B. Long arm action with good strength, topping at 81 MPH across the infield, projects to add arm strength as well with easy long arm action. Smooth throughout IF actions. Very good student.
