Deven Langston is a 2018 2B/SS, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Lake Ridge HS. Medium frame and an athletic build with some room to fill out as he matures. From the outfield, good footwork approaching and getting through the baseball. Made accurate throws from a low 3/4 arm slot across his body. Relaxed, loose feel on the infield, takes his time to make the play. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance, wide base, and a high hand set. Showed good bat speed on a line drive swing path. Looks to hit the ball to the opposite field. Will see more consistent contact to pull side as barrel gets through the zone sooner. Excellent student.
