Michael Goldak is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 6-0 183 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends The Kinkaid School. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 7.09 runner, clean and polished middle infield actions, stays low and has good quickness, hands work well, quick release from a low slot, had better arm strength in games than showed in drills. Right handed hitter, good lower half base, rotational upper half swing with some length and some strength, ball comes off hard when squared, mid field contact with occasional lift, will need to learn to use hands more in swing. Also pitched, 3/4's arm slot with a long arm circle, good balance. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight, fair curveball spin, commanded both pitches well. Nice young athlete with a bright future. Good student.
