Mark Leyble is a 2016 3B/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Point Pleasant, NJ who attends Point Pleasant Borough. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, hands plays, long arm action across with strength, stays tall at release. Showed well on the mound, works from a three-quarter arm side, simple and repeatable mechanics. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with arm side run and sinking action. Short breaking slider at 74 mph, shows a feel for the pitch. Left-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and shifts into contact well. Swing shows length but solid bat speed allows him to get barrel to the ball, strength plays in swing with lift, jumps off barrel, shows raw power, quiet load, tracks well out of pitcher's hand. Good student.
