Brian Golub is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Dix Hills, NY who attends Half Hollow Hills East. Medium, lean young frame with more room to add strength. Throws from a lower slot in the outfield and flashes good carry on his throws. Has athletic fielding actions and charges the ball hard. Bats right-handed, works from a narrow, slightly open setup and uses a small leg kick trigger. Looks to pull the ball but flashes ability to go the other way. Flashes good lift. Also took the mound, topped at 74 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. Shows sinking action on his fastball. Flashes tight slider rotation and throws strikes with it at 67 mph. Very good student.
