James Bifulco is a 2016 OF/SS, P with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Staten Island Academy. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build. Primary outfielder, throws from a long arm action, generates strength on throws, tall at release, getting on top of baseball will help to improve carry. Short and quick steps to the ball, fields the ball out front, charges in well, throws from a lower arm slot. Right-handed hitter, starts with a spread stance and a high hand set. Upper half swing, shows nice bat speed in swing, gets barrel through the zone well, line drive contact to the middle and opposite parts of the field, shows a patient approach at the plate. Very good student.
