2005 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Brandon Sears is a 2005 catcher from Papillion, Nebraska, with a strong 6'0", 180 lb. frame. He has a good catcher's body with good muscle tone and athletic actions. Sears has soft hands behind the plate, and is a good receiver. He showed good feet blocking balls to both sides, and Sears has a good release on his throws with present arm strength at 81 mph. He is an advanced defensive catcher. He is a right handed hitter who hits from a medium to wide stance with good bat speed. He uses a slight rock back load, and has good hand strength. There is strength in his swing with present raw power to the pull side that should continue to develop. Sears is still unsigned and should be able to step in an help many programs.
