Nicholas Lamorte is a 2016 C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Freehold, NJ who attends Freehold Borough. Medium, athletic build with a lean frame and projectable frame with room to fill out with added strength. Primary catcher, sound receiver out front, short arm action from ear, accurate throws to second base with arm strength that will continue to develop, pop time will improve with incorporation of lower half into throws. Switch hitter, shows nice bat speed from the left side, upper half swing, line drive contact to the middle of the field, quiet load, flashes pop in swing. Fast hands from the right side, high hand set, more fluidity, line drive contact with some leverage in swing. Very good student.
