Jared Bond is a 2016 OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Jesuit College Prep. Large, athletic build with present strength that play into his actions. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball well out front and works through the ball well. Short arm action, gets body behind the ball, shows arm strength on throws with more coming by incorporating lower half. Left-handed batter, starts with a wide base and a low hand set. Starts with an open stance and gets closed well at start of swing. Upper half oriented swing, shows good bat speed with a short path to the ball. Line drive swing plane, smooth stroke with ability to hit to all fields, shows lift in his swing to pull side, recognizes spin well in game at-bats. Outstanding student.
