Avery Williams is a 2016 OF/ with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Obra D. Tompkins. Medium, athletic frame with nice present strength on frame with broad shoulders. Outstanding runner, posted a 6.67 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, short steps to the ball, full arm action on throws, tall at release, shows arm strength with accuracy, carry will improve by getting on top of the ball. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance with a high hand set. Quiet stance and shows a patient approach at the plate. Simple and repeatable swing mechanics, short bat path to the ball. Upper body swing, stays balanced throughout, creates contact out front with a quick bat and hits to pull side.
