Nick Peifer is a 2016 SS/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from La Verne, CA who attends Bonita. Large frame with excellent, athletic build and present strength throughout body. Hits from exaggerated open stance, has legitimate strength and bat speed with good hands through the zone. Gets the ball in the air and projects for excellent power moving forward. Timing could use more consistency at times. Was very impressive defensively, both in the infield and the outfield. Shows excellent arm strength with accuracy to the bag from the OF, topping at 89 MPH. Smooth to the ball with good athleticism and fluidity throughout actions. Quick release in the IF, showing good range to both sides with good hands and overall feel for the position. Topped at 84 MPH across the IF with accuracy. Ran a 7.03 60 yard dash. Very good student.
