Jonathan Randall is a 2016 RHP/2B, 3B with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Tyler, TX who attends Robert E. Lee. Medium frame with broad shoulders and some room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a sidearm slot with a short arm action in the back. Stays tall on back side, gets down the mound but stays tall at release. Fastball topped at 75 mph and generates arm side run due to arm slot. Cross body release, shows a feel for slider at 65 mph with sweeping life. Curveball is out pitch, has a nice feel and throws it from a higher arm slot. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and a slightly open base. Gets extension in swing and shows nice plate coverage, long path to the ball, showed ability to hit to all fields with nice line drive contact to pull side. Very good student.
