2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Jack Archer is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Stuyvesant. Large, lean frame with athletic present build and highly projectable body overall. Posted a 7.39 seconds 60 yard dash time. Shows long arm action on the mound to 3/4 slot, quick arm with projectable action and arm speed, quick delivery with good tempo, generates solid extension out front, FB worked 79-82 and topped at 83 MPH with solid life to arm side. Slight crossfire delivery that adds deception. Did great job both getting weak contact and missing barrels, racking up 5 strikeouts over 3 innings. Showed CB with tilting 10/4 shape, was able to throw for strikes and as chase pitch. Mixed both pitches well and threw both for strikes with consistency. Hits from narrow stance with high hand set, big stride into contact with balance, clean hand path with solid bat speed, has some loft in swing, made consistent contact with power coming as he continues to gain strength. Named to 2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
