Zach Johnson is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Nacogdoches, TX who attends Central Heights. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and quick twitch muscle. Very good runner, posted a 6.63 60-yard dash. Speed and foot work play up the middle showing later agility and range to both sides. Short arm action on throws across, shows arm strength on throws and will continue to develop as he gains more strength. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set with a low back elbow. Short, direct path to the ball, simple and repeatable swing. Upper body swing, line drive swing path, shows some pop to pull side, uses a middle of the field approach. Aggressive on the bases. Named to South Under Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
