Connor Prado is a 2016 RHP/OF/IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Roanoke, TX who attends Byron Nelson HS. Medium athletic build with good present strength. High energy delivery with effort on release, deep arm takeaway with a high 3/4's arm slot, drives hard to the plate, lots of variables in his mechanics to bring together consistently. Consistent mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, hard arm side running action at times. Power curveball with hard spin and bite at times, lacks present feel for curveball command but has feel for spin and changing curveball velocity. Flashed a sinking change up. Key to development will be toning down his delivery in order to improve his overall command. Right handed hitter, deep hand load, early front side, long loose swing with some bat speed, aggressive approach, looking to pull and lift, has some hitting tools, overall hitting mechanics similar in approach to pitching mechanics. Good student.
