Caleb Crowe is a 2009 P/1B/3B from East Paulding HS in Hiram, GA, with a 6'1'', 140 lb. frame and a very slender, thin body. He has huge feet and really could grow into a big young man in the future. Crowe has a deliberate delivery and his arm works well on the mound and he's able to throw strikes. His fastball topped out at 65 mph and he threw a 57 mph curveball and a 57 mph change up as well. Crowe doesn't appear strong enough right now to get any velocity on his pitches but he has the frame to grow into. At the plate, Crowe has good swing fundamentals with a high hand set up and an early timing stride. He waits on the ball well and makes solid contact to the middle of the field. Like his pitching, his hitting will improve when he adds some more strength. Crowe is an excellent student.
