Simon Ganet is a 2008 C/OF/IF from Naperville North High School in Naperville, IL, with a 5'8'', 175 lb. frame. Defensively he is very balanced behind the plate with a good set-up. Ganet uses solid footwork on his throws to second base, as well as blocking balls in the dirt with good balance. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an open stance with a narrow base and a high hand set. He is very quiet in the box and loads his hands well. Ganet has a line drive swing plane and shows bat speed through the hitting zone. He keeps his hands back and stays inside the ball showing the ability to use the entire field, which will help boost his average. Ganet is also a very good student..
