Christopher Haggard is a 2007 RHP/2B from Shiloh High School in Lawrenceville, GA, with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame. On the mound he throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed. He pounds the strike zone with his 80 mph fastball and induces many ground ball outs. Haggard keeps his fastball down in the zone and he gets good run in on the hands of right handed hitters. He also mixes in a frisbee type breaking ball with good spin at 67 mph. Haggard has a long and lean body that is projectable and should throw harder in the future. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a narrow base and keeps his hands close to his ear. He takes a long stride and shows bat speed. Defensively he plays second base and shows good hands with solid footwork in making all of the plays. He is also a good student.
