Brian Cooper is a 5'8", 180 lb. catcher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Brian's pop times ranged from 2.02-2.07 with a top velocity of a good 77 mph from behind the plate. Cooper showed extremely consistent mechanics and accuracy to go along with his solid arm strength. Brian has college level catching skills with very clean transfers and solid footwork. Cooper is a right handed hitter with a wide stance and no stride approach, and has a short, quick bat path with good hand strength. Brian has a line drive swing plane, but tends to dive into the ball and cut off his extension. He has the physical tools to improve his hitting in the future, and is already an advanced defensive catcher. Brian is a good student.
