Ryan Hacker is a 2007 SS/P/3B from Northview High School in Alpharetta, GA, with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame. Defensively he fields with a narrow base, and shows good range, especially to his glove side. Hacker has an accurate throwing arm across the diamond as well. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a low hand set and a no load approach. Hacker has a weight back lean at contact trying to lift the ball and drive the gaps. There is strength in his swing and he has projectable power, but he makes inconsistent contact. Hacker also pitched at the event. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose and flexible arm. There is heavy sinking action on his fastball with some arm side life as well. Hacker also mixes in a 61 mph curveball and a 57 mph changeup. He throws all of his pitches for strikes and keeps the ball out of the middle of the plate. Hacker is also an excellent student.
