Javier Sujo is a 6'1" 185 pound 2007 third baseman and middle infielder from Miami Sunset High School in Miami, Florida who was named to the Top Prospect Team. He has a strong pro type body and attended the showcase coming off of a shoulder injury. Javier looked like his shoulder was feeling good though as he displayed a strong arm during the workout where he threw 82 mph across the infield. He has solid third base actions with his hands and feet. At the plate, Sujo hits with an open stance and keeps his hands inside the ball very well. He has a little uppercut in his swing and he is a pull hitter. He has some good bat speed and creates backspin on the ball. Javier is a raw hitter with big time power potential who is also a good student with a 3.4 gpa.
