Jones is a 6-0 right handed hitting catcher from Missouri with good present strength and strong hands. Jones is a good athlete but is a bit raw in some of his baseball skills. He ran the 60 in 7.35 and worked out at both catcher and third base in drills, showing good arm strength (80 IF/75 C) and pop times down to 1.96. At the plate, Jones hits from a no load approach with very good bat speed. He likes to pull the ball and shows very good raw power when he can get his hands through and to the ball. He has a ton of hitting potential. Jones impressed the PG staff with his attitude on the field as well. He is an interesting athletic kid who could really develop a lot over a years time.
