David Armendariz is a 2010 RHP with a 6'1'', 192 lb. frame from Granada Hills, CA who attends Notre Dame HS. Mature athletic build, good present strength. Slow paced delivery, extended 3/4's slot, some effort/head jerk on release. FB consistent upper 80's flirting with 90 at the Metrodome, cuts FB to LHH'ers at 85, good pitch, will tail FB into RHH'ers, big breaking CB, best bite at higher velocities, needs better CB consistency, but it is a quality out pitch. Shows athletic ability off the mound. Switch hitter. Need to keep an eye on him.
