Justin Griffin is a 2007 MIF/P with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Bedford NH, who attends Cushing Academy. He has a lean athletic frame than can add more strength. Griffin ran the 60 in 7.50 and threw 76 mph during infield drills. He has a one hand fielding action which slows down his release on throws but he made the plays in the games. Offensively, Griffin is a low ball hitter with some back side collapse as he's trying to lift the ball. He shows good raw bat speed and the ability to handle the bat head and make consistent solid contact. He was very aggressive in getting the bat head going and probably could affort to wait back on the ball a bit. Griffin has good baseball actions on the field and plays with some polish and moxie and knows how play the game. He's also a very good student.
