2004 Underclass National Showcase
Charles Thomas -- Thomas is a strong bodied sophomore outfielder from Michigan with good present strength. He took a very impressive batting practice, hitting from a wide stance and a toe tap trigger that generated very good bat speed and some natural loft to his swing. Thomas crushed some balls in BP, especially considering his age. His game approach was more tentative, which we’ll write up to inexperience and youth, but the tools to hit well are definitely there. Thomas runs pretty well for a big young man and has some projectable arm strength, too. He’s a very good student as well. Keep a close eye on this sophomore.
