Travis Rush is a 2008 MIF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Everett, Washington, who attends Mariner High School. Rush has a lean and athletic frame with projection. Defensively he has nice actions with soft hands and nice footwork that allows him to make all the plays. He has good range and goes in the hole well making those plays. Rush has solid arm strength on his throws across the diamond with accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slight crouch with a short stroke. Rush shows bat speed through the hitting zone at times. He takes an aggressive stride to the pitcher, and he does a good job of covering the plate. Rush has a lift in his swing plane, and he shows projectable power. Rush turns on the inside fastball well. He plays hard, and he is a good student as well.
