Brett Kennedy is a 2007 SS/P with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame from Dallas GA, who attends McEachern HS. He has a long slender body and low waist, with developing strength. Kennedy threw 81 mph during infield drills and ran the 60 in 7.50. Kennedy has solid defensive actions in the infield. He has quick feet and short strides and keeps himself well balanced when fielding the ball well. Kennedy charged the ball well at shortstop and got rid of the ball quickly while fielding through the ball, but was also able to field balls at third base and make strong, flat footed throws across the infield. Offensively, Kennedy hits from a tall stance with a calm approach. He opens early on his swing and is looking to pull the ball. He showed some pull power and projects well as he adds strength. Kennedy also pitched, showing a good sinking 81 mph fastball and a 67 mph curveball. Kennedy's pitching mechanics were raw and it looked like he could have throw harder with better balance and extension out front. Kennedy is a good student.
