2007 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Brett Christopher is a 2008 OF with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Livermore HS. He has a lean and athletic body type with wiry strength and life in his body. Christopher moves like and athlete and shows a lot of promise as a college prospect. He has good speed and his hands work well with the bat. Christopher's swing tends to get too big which takes away from how fast he can get out of the box and also does not allow him to hit as many line drives and ground balls as he needs to with his speed. His gap to gap approach is good. Look for him to cut down that swing someday and emerge as a top of the order type hitter. Defensively he tracks the ball well in the outfield and has a chance to play centerfield at the college level. He approaches the ball athletically. Christopher has a decent arm that is loose and projects to get stronger. He throws accurately. His all around skill set is quite good and as he adds polish to his game and adjusts his offensive approach, Christopher has a chance to be one of Northern California's spring signing period sleeper prospects.
