Kyle Young is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Littleton, CO, who attends Heritage High School. Young has a good frame that is lean and athletic. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a medium arm circle. He has an inline delivery that is well paced., and he drops and drives to the plate. He has solid control of his fastball that topped out at 75 mph, while working in the 73-75 mph range. He also mixed in an 11/5 curveball at 65 mph. He allowed only 2 hits in his 3 innings of work. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a crouched stance with an average base. He is a line drive hitter who hits to all fields. Young shows bat speed through the zone, and his hands go to the ball well. Defensively he moves well in the outfield. His throws are online at 76 mph, and he shows arm speed. Young is an outstanding student as well.
