Paul Toboni is a 2008 MIF with a 6'2'', 165 lb. frame from San Francisco CA, who attends St. Ignatius College Prep. He has a long, rangy, athletic build with broad shoulders and presently can be classified as wiry strong. He has a body type that should fill out quite nicely and eventually get him labeled as a "good body guy." Toboni is the type of player that is seemingly better and better each time you see him, suggesting a pretty high ceiling for him. Offensively he is a line drive hitter with some projectable power. He is short to the ball and has a quick bat. He drives the ball from gap to gap and gets through contact well. Defensively he has a quick release and an accurate arm. His arm strength plays up due to his quick release and his throws hold their line. Toboni's hands are solid and he has some feel for playing defense, moving to and through ground balls well. He is athletic and should develop into an above average defensive 3rd baseman with the type of bat that will play at the hot corner in college.
